First Samia Women Business Expo a Resounding Success as Mugenya Champions Grassroots Empowerment

Funyula, Busia County: The inaugural Samia Women Business Expo marked a powerful and inspiring milestone for grassroots economic empowerment in Funyula Constituency, drawing an overwhelming turnout and setting the tone for a new era of inclusive development.

At the heart of the event stood Mheshimiwa Michael Mugenya, the aspirant and incoming Member of Parliament for Funyula, who joined an over 400 strong multitude of women group members drawn from across the constituency’s wards. The gathering brought together representatives from 20 women groups — four from each ward. Standing side-by-side with part of the leadership of the groups as captured above, Mheshimiwa Mugenya presented the grants worth over KES 200, 000 to the groups, making them the first beneficiaries of the community uplifting activities of the Michael Trufosa Clarice Mugenya Foundation.
